Custom quilts from Main Street to Broadway

About

Who is Bertie?

Descended from a long line of fabric artists, Bertie learned sewing, knitting and crocheting from her mother and grandmother.  She turned her attention to quilting while working her first job at a New Hampshire fabrics store more than 20 years ago. As she began her professional career in the theater, Bertie also began making wedding gifts and baby blankets for her friends during her spare time. Lately, she has branched into commercial work. She created the quilts for the Grandparents’ bed in Broadway’s recent production of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," and currently has quilted work featured in MJ the Musical, and Tina - the Tina Turner Musical’s national tour. Bertie also regularly provides custom quilts commissioned by the Shakespeare Theater of NJ to be auctioned off at the company's annual gala. See examples of her hand-made works and take your turn on center stage by ordering a quilt of your own.
